Participant::It also looks good to me. I am looking for a 300-350 ish bullet for my SOCOM and because of the lighter weight I also want a gas check. As long as the bullet shank/body stays in the neck with the GC then I am happy.
I was hoping this might bet going somewhere. I liked the longer nose and short body but was looking for less weight and a GC. I guess this is kind of taking the place of that one?

When I get some time I can cast some bullets on that Saeco 61023 mold and send measurements to cornmastah but those measurements is going to be Pb and 2% Sn alloy. Haven’t got any WW’s.
If this topic could get some interested people. I don’t know how cornmastah can play that program which is used to do drawings.. I’m also interested GC version. It is pitty how this topic/discussion “died” because I thought someone is already send sample bullets to Al like there is mentioned on that topic..I’m mean that link which Intel6 is linked…

::I like the 357gr solid and 342gr HP design. I too would prefer a gas check as the .458 seems to like them vs PB. A crimp groove is ok with me, I don’t need it but it really doesn’t hurt anything. Like I said before I would just like a negative tolerance on the nose (forward of the crimp groove) like the piledriver and Accurate piledrivers have so it doesn’t interfere with the throat in my .458.
A cherry cutter (basically a custom ground endmill) has to be designed and ground. The way it looks to me NOE uses circular interpolation on their CNC mill to cut the cavities with the cherry. This way the bullet size can be changed some, but band to groove depth is as ground in the tool.
