Last year I started working on reloading references for the NOE bullet designs, it has gone slower than expected because of the limits of my time but also because I needed to come up with templates that would make the Load Note sheets consistent across all the types of designs and contain as much information as possible for the bullet caster. Al and I think that we have a good format that addresses as many considerations as possible when generating the data so it is time to get started. A quick look at his store’s pages confirms exactly what an undertaking this will be so rather than work from A to Z, I thought I would ask as to what the immediate need of NOE’s customer base is concerning the information to get your bullets out the barrel.

In order to understand how the suggested loads are generated and how the pages are formatted, please read:  Pressure Notes.

Here is what the formatted Load Note pages look like and how the information is presented: 378-275 H&H Mag

If you recommend a bullet design, please include what cartridge you using with the design.

Just a reminder, I normally can only generate one Load Note sheet a day.

Check at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data to see if the notes you are looking for have been posted. If not, make a specific request via a post using the bullet ID profile and cartridge. It will be added to the back of the list. Custom data; specific powder requests, cartridges not in my database, and bores not within .003″ of the bullet’s design diameter, cannot be provided. Data is generated within the confines of templates, please see any Load Notes as a sample of what can be provided.

It is a good idea to bookmark the link above once opened.

Please remember that this data is for NOE’s and RDO’s use. Your use of our Load Notes is at your own risk and only meant for a comparison against other sources.

A forum member let me know that I have the primer type wrong which I will correct in the morning. It does not affect the data calculations as QL makes the assumption that you are using the correct primers for the brass. I have it listed wrong in my cartridge database.

Ends up that the older 500 S&W bullet Load Note sheets that list “Large Pistol” primers are not going to be as easy to update as I thought. They were run very early in this endeavour before I was using the templates to run the data that I do now. To avoid any confusion, I’ve deleted those files. They will have to be run again. If you need the data, just request the specific bullets and I will run them.

I’m getting ready to take my hunting season break through the end of the year starting Friday. I know I’m a bit slow in response but I will be even slower as I won’t have the early morning hours to work on these. I hunt (or at least I’m in the brush) everyday of our hunting season. Please list what you need and I will work on it as soon as I can.

Thank you for the new load cards. I really do appreciate your help. I would not be able to create my reloads without your assistance.
If you going to re-do the 502 molds,
I’d love to have the new data for the 502-375-SP and the 502-600-RF for the 500 magnum. Model is the 6.5 inch half lug.
Please enjoy your season, and no hurry on the data. When you get to it, I’ll make a copy of myself.
Good luck and happy hunting Mr. Ranch Dog

Looking for any data for the NOE 454-273 in a 45 ACP. Loading for a S&W revolver. 454-273 returns nothing in a search.

PJ, is it the 454-273-WC you are looking for. Just want to make sure as you did not specify the bullet’s nose profile.

Ranch Dog-yes the wadcutter design. I’m working with AA #5 with no chrony. Tried 6.4gr with flattened primers. Dropped to 6.0gr. Primers look good. Still a bunch of recoil. I’d like to find a slower load.
                          Thx

                            PJ,
I’m not sure if what I posted is going to be any help as I only post max load suggestions and not any custom data. The QuickLoad run says that 6.9-grains of AA#5 is a max but in that 6.4 grains produced flatten primers that is of no help. Without a chronograph to provide your velocities with the 6.4 & 6.0 grain loads, there is no way I can use the software to suggest something else.

Ranch Dog-Thx for the reply on the 454-273 loads. I’ve tried 6.0, 6.2 and 6.4gr of AA#5. The 6.4gr load did produce some flattened primers. This did not show up on the 6.0 or 6.2 gr loads.
I’ll load up some at 6.0gr since that was more pleasant to shoot and I’m not looking for high end loads. I can have my neighbor shoot some over his chrony.
                              I appreciate your help.

Ranch Dog, thank you so much for running and posting all this data!

Would you please run 38 special and 357 magnum for these NOE bullets:

                                360-158-SWC (BRP)
                                360-158-SWC (HG51)

I’m especially interested in Alliant powders Red Dot, Unique, Bullseye, and 2400.

                                Thank you!
