Last year I started working on reloading references for the NOE bullet designs, it has gone slower than expected because of the limits of my time but also because I needed to come up with templates that would make the Load Note sheets consistent across all the types of designs and contain as much information as possible for the bullet caster. Al and I think that we have a good format that addresses as many considerations as possible when generating the data so it is time to get started. A quick look at his store’s pages confirms exactly what an undertaking this will be so rather than work from A to Z, I thought I would ask as to what the immediate need of NOE’s customer base is concerning the information to get your bullets out the barrel.

In order to understand how the suggested loads are generated and how the pages are formatted, please read:  Pressure Notes.

Here is what the formatted Load Note pages look like and how the information is presented: 378-275 H&H Mag

If you recommend a bullet design, please include what cartridge you using with the design.

Just a reminder, I normally can only generate one Load Note sheet a day. There currently is no delay if you need data.

Check at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data to see if the notes you are looking for have been posted. If not, make a specific request via a post using the bullet ID profile and cartridge. It will be added to the back of the list. Custom data; specific powder requests, cartridges not in my database, and bores not within .003″ of the bullet’s design diameter, cannot be provided. Data is generated within the confines of templates, please see any Load Notes as a sample of what can be provided.

It is a good idea to bookmark the link above once opened.

Please remember that this data is for NOE’s and RDO’s use. Your use of our Load Notes is at your own risk and only meant for a comparison against other sources.

I would also like load data for the NOE 432-290-FN in a 444 Marlin.

Have it on the list as well.

I ran the data for the bullet/cartridge, see: http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data

The bullet is designed for the 44 Mag & 44 Spl and the nose is too long for the 444 Marlin. Using the crimp groove the cartridge overall length with the brass trimmed to the minimum length is .141″ too long, 2.611″ vs. Max of 2.570″.

To make the bullet work with the 444 Marlin, the bullet must be seated on the top band, leaving the crimp groove unusable. It might not be possible to provide a crimp depending on your alloy. Make sure that the OAL does not get shorter in the magazine tube or chamber.

            Michael,
Your efforts on this project are greatly appreciated.

I am blessed with a 6 cavity 454-265-RF mold. I bought it from your website some time back and don’t know what firearm it was designed for. My Blackhawk REALLY likes this bullet and I thought you might give us some insight and Load Notes on this design. I am sure there are a few molds out there and those folks could probably use the info also. Thanks
            Marvin

            Thanks for your kind word but I didn’t design a TLC454-265-RF. I had a TLC454-290-RF?

I also so a bunch of odd ball molds that I acquired from Lee. They did quite a house cleaning and asked me if I was interested in any of them. I told them I would take anything that was a “TL” and there were quite a few interesting designs. Do you think this would be one of them?

It does sound like one of those that I got from Lee. I knew that I bought any TL molds but I must have bought others as well. At one time Lee always cut 2 extra molds from every special order but they ended that policy and had quite a stockpile on the shelves. It all started when I asked a contact of mine if they had any 25 Auto molds on the shelf. Well they did, they had two. Next thing I know is that I have large boxes of all kinds of stuff arriving at the ranch!

                  You’re welcome Nrut.

The 7mm-08 is done and posted at: http://ranchdogoutdoors.com/data/NOE/PDF/

I will get the other two the next two mornings in a row. My load note sheets don’t figure the velocity for a 14″ barrel but it will be approximately 88% of that computed for a 22″ barrel.
