This is the great JD Jones designed bullet which SSK sold and NEI manufactured molds for. It went to Africa and Alaska with JD Jones and the late Larry Kelly (founder of MagNaPort). JD sold the stock of molds to Peter Pi of Corbon never to be seen again. This is a very accurate bullet with great penetration and needs to be brought back. JD also produced 220gr, 260gr and a 350gr GC version. I would love to see the 220, 260gr and 310gr molds brought back again in a .430+ dia PB.
Would anybody else be interested?

I want to see what Al’s drawing can show us, maybe then it will move over to Active Group Buy and take off from there. I’m sure more will sign up for this mold, given the chance.

I’d be in on this one but desire the 260-270gr version. I would prefer brass if possible.  They also did scaled down version for the 41 Mag, about a 225 gr boolit. I would be interested in both styles when available. bushman

The drawings look great but even the lightest one is heavier than I need. Will there be a HP available? That would bring the weight down about 15 grains and be right in my desired weight range.

That 341 grain looks really good for my rifle, but I also wanted a mould that would work well in my TC at around 310 grains, double crimp groove and in the neighborhood of .431.  I size all my 44’s to .430 and those would be taking a little more off than I would like.  But that’s just me, so I hope they work for everyone else.

While the diameter is exactly what I was wanting, The boolit weights are either lighter or heavier than what I was hoping for. I was also hopeful for a gas check version of the 310 gr . I will have to pass on this mould unfortunately.

I for one like what I see. I think that 340 gr. would make a moose awful sick. I hope these all 3 go I will take one of each. I don’t need a HP version of these. Let’s make this happen!!!  jroc
