Last year I started working on reloading references for the NOE bullet designs, it has gone slower than expected because of the limits of my time but also because I needed to come up with templates that would make the Load Note sheets consistent across all the types of designs and contain as much information as possible for the bullet caster. Al and I think that we have a good format that addresses as many considerations as possible when generating the data so it is time to get started. A quick look at his store’s pages confirms exactly what an undertaking this will be so rather than work from A to Z, I thought I would ask as to what the immediate need of NOE’s customer base is concerning the information to get your bullets out the barrel.

In order to understand how the suggested loads are generated and how the pages are formatted, please read:  Pressure Notes.

Here is what the formatted Load Note pages look like and how the information is presented: 378-275 H&H Mag

If you recommend a bullet design, please include what cartridge you using with the design.

Note for the 315-103-SWC: As the comments on the Load Notes indicate,The base design at .315 is inappropriate for the spec .308 groove of the 7.62×25. The data is valid as long as your choice of  bullet diameter is within .003″ of your firearm’s groove diameter.

Just a reminder, I can only have the time to generate one Load Note sheet a day. Currently 2 days in the que.

Check at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data to see if the notes you are looking for have been posted. If not, make a specific request via a post using the bullet ID profile and cartridge. It will be added to the back of the list. Typically, I’m able to complete one request a day, in the order received.

It is a good idea to bookmark the link above once opened.

Please remember that this data is for NOE and RDO’s use. Your use of our Load Notes is at your own risk and only meant for a comparison against other sources.

I am interested in the 8mm data previously requested but, if possible, I would also like to see data for the NOE 339-230 RF for the 8X58RD Swedish Rolling Block and also the 8x56R Austrian M95.
Thank you for taking the time to do this project Ranch Dog.

Need some more help. I find three 8X56Rs; an RM 30, RM 30, and an RM Port. Krop. Any advice.

Never noticed the Frankenstein bullet, that is one nice looking bullet!

Okay, I guess I’m running so far behind that I cannot look ahead. I will need to start vetting the requests a bit better.

With that said, I’m not sure how to make a .339 bullet down a .323 groove?

RD, my Austrian 8X56R has a .332 groove  and some rifles are even bigger.  Lee dies for this rifle are listed as 8X56R Hungarian if that is any help.

QL has a 8x56R M30S (Solohurn-Hungarian) with a .329″ groove. Even with your .332″ groove and a bullet .003″ that I’m still .004″ short of the running the 339-230-RF and providing valid data. In that your groove diameter is so far off the spec, the cartridge would need to be redrawn which would require your bore diameter as well and the H2O capacity of a fired case. The bullet would need to be redrawn too at .335, it would be possible to size it to this, but this is kind of getting beyond the scope of what I’m doing here as I would not post this data, only send it directly for you.

The drawing of this bullet is not in the database of the software NOE and I use, the image on the store page is from some other draw program. If you can tell me what your cartridge OAL is, reference the drawing above, I still can do the calculations.

I’m going to drop the 502-490-WF 500 S&W request as the bullet is not in the design software nor is it listed in the store.

                                    Hello Ranch Dog,
Sorry for asking, I located and bookmarked the data for the 502-375 mold in 500 S&W. I did have a question about a couple powders not listed.
Can you suggest where I should start for using Accurate 1680, 5744, and Alliant’s new Power Pro 300 MP?
                                    Thanks in advance!
                                    Justin
