Based on the initial discussion in the thread below, I am looking for interested parties to fill the list for a NOE buy if possible.

      100gn.
      Plainbase.
No lube groove for powder coating.
RN/spitzer type for feeding in semiautomatic.
Specs outlined, but not finished (true cast bullet drawing and .223/Wylde chamber consideration appreciated).

This is a jacketed 100gn that I extrapolated some rough measurements from:

Am I mistaken, but it looks like we somewhere went from .123″ meplat to .128″.
I’m not saying .128″, I just want to avoid untintentional mistakes.

Great work on turning down bullets and testing in real life, dkf!
This looks very promising! If .145″ meplat feed that well, then our design will probably do too!

…but has anyone head from Al? How do we get his attention? :)

I went to the shop yesterday and asked him to take a look at this thread.  He is just super busy with everything but said he would try to take a look and such.

We need to come to a consensus on the final drawing before we move it to an official group buy.  I do like the longer nose, and would prefer a .225 diameter for powdercoating, but like memememe said, it won’t be a problem to size it down.  So, if .226 works better for some people, I am ok with that.

When I lengthened the nose the metplat got slightly larger than th eother print. I drew it in Autocad so I try to match the ogive the best I could. I don’t have the bullet designing software.

I have been sizing my .223 bullets to .226″. All my molds for .223 drop at least .227″ from the mold. I know I am not the only one sizing to .226″.

This is one that we have had in the works.
Can make it about any weight.

This has been checked for fit and function, but needs to be verified with coating.

We would need to kill the bore riding section if possible for the powder coating.  Bore riding sections are difficult with powder coating because different kinds of powder coat at different thicknesses.  Would it be possible to use the design that we have come up with?

I like it!  If we can have two models it would be nice, one with a lube groove and one without.  As long as everyone else is ok with it, I say let’s move it to the group buy section and make it official.  Otherwise, if anybody has any changes to make, let’s talk about them now!

I like it, I’d just need at least .226″ in diameter for use with lube. Without a gas check it is even more essential to get the bullet sized properly to the bore.

I’ve got no changes to the latest addition.
                                I say we go active.

Al, can you please confirm that .226 and no groove is possible for those that want those options?

I like .226.  I powder coat but size at .2255.  No problem here when this goes active.  Just waiting for Al to confirm going live.
